Daily Mineral Rich Tea

A caffeine-free blend of nettle, oatstraw, red raspberry leaf, plantain leaf, and spearmint. Enjoy its grassy, gently minty character as a warm cup or a chilled infusion.

Traditional uses of the individual herbs

Herbal traditions have used these plants in different ways; the history below describes the individual botanicals, not proven effects of this finished blend.

  • Nettle: Nettle leaf and aboveground herb have a long history in European herbal teas, including traditional preparations.  Nettle leaf is rich in vitamins A, C, and K as well as minerals like calcium, iron and potassium best utilized as a decoction. It also contains bioactive phenols and flavonoids that clinical trials indicate it may stabilize allergy & hay fever pathways. Emerging research also hints at metabolic benefits and used for occasional joint discomfort.
  • Oatstraw: The stems and leaves of the oat plant have appeared in Western herbal practice as gentle restorative or nervine preparations, particularly in traditions concerned with everyday stress, burnout, cognitive, cardiovascular & mood support as well as rest. Oatstraw is naturally rich in micronutrients including silica, calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc to support tension, skin, hair and nail health.
  • Red raspberry leaf: Traditionally used as an astringent herb in teas and rinses, including preparations for occasional menstrual discomfort and for the mouth or throat inflammation or used for mild diarrhea. Leaves contain ellagic acid and ellagitannins, which offer powerful cell-protecting, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits. They also contain small amounts of calcium, magnesium, iron, and vitamin C
  • Plantain leaf: Broadleaf plantain has a history in Persian herbal practice for digestive and skin-related preparations when used as a tea. Plantain leaf is valued in traditional herbal medicine as a soothing, tissue-mending "vulnerary". Its anti-inflammatory compounds are traditionally utilized to soothe digestive & respiratory systems and support repair in conditions like leaky gut, IBS, coughs, sore throats, canker sores.
  • Spearmint: Valued as a fragrant culinary herb and in traditional after-meal preparations associated with digestive comfort; it also adds a fresh mint note to the cup.

These traditions do not mean this tea has been clinically shown to relieve symptoms, and they are not directions to use it to treat a condition.
