Herbal tradition
Western herbalists have traditionally used mullein leaf in preparations for coughs and chest congestion. Elecampane root has appeared in robust respiratory herb blends, while wild cherry bark has a history in traditional preparations for dry, irritating coughs. Marshmallow leaf has been used in soothing teas for irritated mouth and throat tissues. Yarrow leaf and flower have appeared in warming seasonal teas. Peppermint leaf is a familiar aromatic herb in traditional respiratory teas and contributes a cool, minty note to this blend.
