Gunpowder Green Tea got it's name from the shape of its leaves, which are hand-rolled into tiny, tight balls similar to gunpowder. Originally rolled tightly to preserve freshness and maintain moisture. It is a classic, bold and unforgettable tea with a striking taste and crisp, clear flavor. This variety comes from the Camellia sinensis plant and originated in China. Today it is grown in China, Taiwan, and Sri Lanka. 

Gunpowder Green Tea is stronger and bolder than typical green tea varieties. It contains a high concentration of the compound L-theanine and EGCG, a plant compound that helps support overall body function. It contains moderate caffeine that also gives you a nice boost.
