Common Names: Common mullein, velvet plant

Family:  Scrophulariaceae

Description: Mullein is classically known to be a respiratory herb used to support lung and bronchial health. Its soothing leaves and flowers are often prepared as teas, tinctures, and glycerites for coughs, mild congestion, and overall lung wellness.

• Diuretic (mild)- promotes gentle elimination of excess fluids.
• Anti-microbial (mild)- traditionally used to support resistance to mild infections.
• Nervine (mild)- can have a gentle calming effect when used as a tea.
